Fatal crash in Berlin

The tightly scheduled flights also caused casualties. The second fatal accident during the airlift happened in West Berlin when a US Air Force Douglas C-47 crashed into a house in the district of Schöneberg-Friedenau while landing on 25.07.1948. The pilot Charles H. King and co-pilot Robert W. Stuber did not survive the accident. But none of the residents of the house were injured.
